Oscars 2026: Vencedores

A 98.ª cerimónia dos Oscars aconteceu na noite deste Domingo, 15 de Março, no Dolby Theatre, em Los Angeles. O anfitrião foi novamente Conan O'Brien e o Hoje Vi(vi) um Filme esteve a acompanhar e a actualizar os vencedores em tempo real.

Batalha Atrás de Batalha (One Battle After Another) foi o grande vencedor da noite com seis Oscars, incluindo os de Melhor Filme, Realizador e Montagem. Pecadores (Sinners) seguiu-o de perto com quatro estatuetas, entre elas a de Melhor Actor para Michael B. Jordan.

Contra muitas expectativas, a zeros ficou Marty Supreme e O Agente Secreto. Valor Sentimental (Sentimental Value) conquistou o prémio para Melhor Filme Estrangeiro.

Valor Sentimental é, até ver, a obra maior de Joachim Trier. Segue a linha melancólica dos seus filmes, que encaram o drama com um toque de humor, e, depois de A Pior Pessoa do Mundo (uma espécie de jovem adulto com medo de crescer), a sua última longa-metragem atingiu a maturidade da filmografia do cineasta norueguês.

Após anos de ausência, as irmãs Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) e Nora (Renate Reinsve) reencontram o pai, Gustav (Stellan Skarsgård), um conhecido realizador. Gustav oferece a Nora, actriz de teatro, o papel principal no seu novo filme, mas ela recusa. Magoado, Gustav entrega o papel a uma jovem estrela de Hollywood, Rachel (Elle Fanning), despertando antigas feridas e tensões familiares.

É a partir da Casa da família, testemunha de gerações, que a história de pai e filhas é apresentada. Ela, que acompanhou mortes e nascimentos, ressurge e ganha uma nova vida com o regresso de Gustav e da ideia que tem para o seu novo filme.

Valor Sentimental é um mergulho profundo na complexidade das relações familiares, um drama terno, apesar de carregado de ressentimentos. Joachim Trier filma a redenção e a consciência do envelhecimento. Capta os esforços de reconciliação, mesmo que não se saiba bem como agir; as explosões de raiva, a mágoa que se construiu por cima do que ficou por dizer.

A psicologia das relações humanas não é fácil de entender e, aos poucos, as personagens vão abrindo o coração à plateia, entre traumas e desilusões. Entre as irmãs, magoadas pela ausência do pai no seu crescimento, guardam-se segredos. Há um passado pesado que moldou a personalidade de cada uma e que faz com que haja uma extrema necessidade de protecção entre elas. Renate Reinsve (colaboradora habitual do realizador) e Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas são extraordinárias, tão diferentes e tão reais.

E eis que Gustav deverá ser o papel da vida de Stellan Skarsgård, a consagração do seu talento. A fragilidade da idade contrasta com o orgulho e teimosia que definem a sua personalidade. Este homem seguro e sedutor depara-se finalmente com quem lhe faz frente - as filhas. É aí que começa a consciência de que o tempo passou e que a idade limita o corpo e os instantes que restam para corrigir os erros. A necessidade de redenção é urgente.

A melancolia de Trier percorre Valor Sentimental nas cores (com uma direcção de fotografia que tira o melhor partido da película de 35mm), no argumento (mesmo que alguns momentos sejam ligeiramente previsíveis), nos planos, nas personagens... Há silêncios, tempo para respirar, num convite à introspecção, à mesma autodescoberta que se vê nas personagens.

Visualmente belíssimo, Valor Sentimental é tão emocionalmente intenso, que é com ele que Joachim Trier mostra como o seu cinema se está a tornar adulto e cheio de personalidade. E cada vez mais próximo do público.

Entre as principais ausências nos nomeados deste ano, está Wicked que ficou de fora. A maior surpresa recai, desta vez, sobre o filme norueguês Sentimental Value que soma nove nomeações, incluindo as de Melhor Filme e Melhor Realização.
